Data connectors call bounded, read-only HTTP endpoints and return only fields you explicitly allow.
Builder data connector editor

Create a read-only data connector in the API setup tab.

1

Define the request

Enter the HTTPS endpoint and customer-supplied query inputs.
2

Choose authentication

Reference a stored credential or require a verified customer’s bearer token.
3

Test safely

Use mock JSON in Sandbox, then test live with synthetic data.
4

Allow fields

Select only the scalar response paths the agent needs.
5

Release

Choose the audience and callers, then set the connector live.
Production blocks redirects, private-network access, unbounded responses, and mock data.
