An AI resolution is a conversation recorded as resolved by Chatropic’s resolution flow. It is different from a single message and different from an API call made during the conversation. Understanding that distinction helps you compare plan allowances with the support workload you want to evaluate. A conversation may contain several exchanges before it reaches a recorded outcome.

Separate the events in a conversation

A message is an exchange between a participant and the agent. A tool call is an operation the agent performs through a configured connection. A recorded resolution is an outcome of the resolution flow. For example, a fictional order enquiry might include a reference request, an identity check, a lookup, and an explanation. Those steps should not be treated as four resolutions merely because several things happened. Equally, a tool returning data does not prove that the customer’s problem has been resolved. The customer may still need clarification or a person to handle a dispute.

Understand the workspace pool

The resolution allowance is shared across the workspace. Essential includes 200 pooled resolutions and Pro includes 750. Adding seats increases team capacity; it does not multiply the resolution pool. Review usage in Billing alongside the conversations your team is evaluating. Use a consistent billing period when comparing activity with an allowance.

Check the behavior of your chosen workflow

The local resolution service meters a successful transition to resolved. The configured flow and channel influence how a conversation reaches that transition. During evaluation, test a successfully handled request, a handoff, an abandoned conversation, and a conversation that needs to continue after an apparent resolution. Confirm how these cases appear in the intended workspace rather than assuming every channel behaves identically. Your team should also review whether the recorded outcome matches the support result it cares about. Billing usage and a quality review answer related but different questions.

Plan for the allowance boundary

The current quota implementation falls back to a standard model and deflection after the resolution allowance is reached. That is not a promise of unlimited premium resolutions or automatic paid overages. An expired trial or inactive subscription can separately prevent operation. Check the usage and subscription state in Billing and confirm the behavior for the release you intend to use.

Use the trial to make a grounded estimate

Start with one workflow and record its volume, correctly handled requests, escalations, and review effort. Use those observations when discussing plan fit rather than projecting from a single demonstration. Read seats and usage for the relationship between purchased team capacity and shared allowances.
